No Plans, Just Presence

Reflections from a yoga retreat in La Ventana
I’ll be honest: when I signed up for the GLOW Yoga Retreat by myself for the first time, I was burnt out and dreaming of a week where I didn’t have to make a single decision—not even what to eat!
I wasn’t coming to find myself. I was coming for the fully planned schedule, the gorgeous setting, and the promise of uninterrupted reading by the pool.

What I experienced was all of that—and so much more.
I was reminded that I'm more than a mom. More than a nonprofit executive. Inside I'm still the person who moved across the world (more than once) without knowing a soul.
I tried new things--like paddle boarding and meditation. I laughed until I cried with people I'd just met. I felt completely alive somewhere I’d never been.
That’s why I came back.
Not because I needed to escape this time—but because I’m still practicing being the version of me who lives with presence. Who lets the day unfold without a plan.
This place strips away the shoulds and gives you space to be.
To wander inward.
To stretch.
To remember that the version of you who once said yes to adventure…she’s still there.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear—when was the last time you let the day unfold without a plan?
